In just a few steps you can set up your wireless printer like Canon Pixma MX490 setup. Wireless printing enables you to print and print via pcs or any compatible mobile devices nearly from anywhere in your office or home office. There are 2 ways to connect to your network. Here's how: Method 1: Some routers or hubs (access points) already have WPS buttons to facilitate network access from the access point. Steps: Printer turn on.
On your printer, press the Wi-Fi button. Hold until blue flashes of light.
Use the button to connect to your WPS. The printer will search for your access point automatically.

Connect your machine and print a test.
Method 2: Standard Steps of connection: Run CD for installation on your desktop.
A screen with choices for your connection will appear. Select CONNECTION WIRELESS. Turn on the printer. Make sure the blue light flashes.
Click CONNECT TO THE NETWORK. Select WPS to connect to the network automatically. (Compatible only with Windows 7 and above) Press the Wi-Fi button on the printer for Connection Via Cableless configuration and hold twice until the orange light flashes.
Once effectively attached to the wireless network, blue lamp light will switch on.
Click NEXT to finish the installation and Canon Pixma MX490 setup and provide the necessary data.
